My work expertise spans Māori land incorporations, iwi and hapū organisations, the tourism sector, creative industries and enterprise development agencies, including central and local government. I have developed and implemented strategies for both Māori urban and rural communities as well as private companies and industries.
These work experiences over the past 30 years enabled me to strengthen my relationship management skills, activate policy and influence the ‘how to’ application on Te Tiriti o Waitangi practice in mainstream organisations. This technical expertise is a point of difference after many decades of being engaged in advocating on ‘the what’ treaty partners should be delivering on.
Throughout my career, I have also pursued opportunities to increase my knowledge and critical thinking ;
Diploma of Labour Studies; Industrial Relations, University of Auckland 1994
Graduate Diploma Economic Development Public Policy, Auckland University of Technology 2004
Diploma Economic Development from Ball State University, Indiana 2005
Advanced Leadership Program with Women and leadership New Zealand 2019
