🌐 You've probably seen a few of my shares as I am excited to showcase the launch of @Hector'sWorld, a pivotal initiative aimed at promoting online safety for young digital citizens! Launched here in Aotearoa!
It was a morning filled with inspiration and learning at Kelly Tarlton's Underworld Sea, where we were graced with the insightful contributions of manawhenua leader Te Aroha Grace supported by whaea Celess Eparaima.
A special shoutout to the enthusiastic students from Te Whānau Manihera from Kaikohe (https://lnkd.in/ggjpjdNs) who supported the kaupapa on the day with beautiful waiata - as well as their contribution to the voice-overs. Their engagement and curiosity was heartwarming to witness and their presence underscored the importance of empowering our youth with the knowledge they need to navigate the digital world with confidence and care.
Hector’s World covers topical issues such as cyberbullying, privacy, digital footprint and balancing online and offline time through a fun, animated series available in both English and te reo Māori, supported with educational materials to help children learn to navigate the online world safely.
